What is an author to do?

Hi everyone!! Sorry it's been a while...

I have been keeping busy with the kids, the house, and of course writing new novels! I just finished my next novel that I am hoping will be picked up by either an agent or publishing company that will love the story and characters I have conjured up in my new novel, Retribution.

The story is about a wealthy Nantucket family that has suffered a great loss. The matriarch's granddaughter, Lizbeth, has had a tragic accident in her grand estate. The family has come together for a week to "mourn" her loss and attend her memorial and funeral at the end of the week.

However, as the family goes about their entitled and privileged lives in the household, terrible deadly accidents begin to occur. Max, Lizbeth's closest cousin, suspects it is her ghost causing these accidents to repay family members for their negligence. His only clue, is Lizbeth's diary, leading him to secrets that Lizbeth kept near and dear to her.

Can Max put her soul to rest before someone else dies at her hand?

In addition to Retribution, I have started another novel based on yet another dream I had!! More information on that novel to come!!

Part of why I have stayed away for so long is because I find it difficult to write on this blog. People have told me to just write what I know. Well, honestly, to improve my writing I have decided to learn from the best - and maybe in some opinions worst - teachers. Writers themselves!! I have decided that for my weekly blog, I will give my opinion on books that I have read. Some are audio books, some are on my Kindle, and some are actual real-life books from the library!!!
