The Salty Swan Series

Hi! Today's review is a fellow Koehler author, Katrina Macrides and her series- The Salty Swan Series. This series is not completely released - the third book, The Swan's Secret, comes out the end of this year.

I will start with her first book, The Salty Swan - a book filled with magic and friendship, trials and budding romance. Lily's character is captivating as I identify with her a lot. She is not shy, she knows herself and what she is capable of. Kai is mysterious and a bit brooding and who doesn't love that in a main male character! As Lily uncovers Kai's secrets and the secrets of the forest around her, their relationship blossoms and you get caught up in all of the magic. I loved living vicariously through Lily and her friends as they unveil all the secrets surrounding them and go up against the most villainous woman in town, who holds her own secrets. It is a wonderful adventure and thrilling ending.

Macrides second book in the series, The Crows Know, continues Lily and Kai's relationship and we witness it develop and face challenges throughout. Jealousy and more mystery unfold in The Crows Know. There are so many questions that come up and I couldn't wait for the answers. Lily and her friends continue to seek out the secrets in the town and what the appearance of the crows means for them. Lily is sure they are connected to the problems they faced in the past, but only time can reveal the truth to her. The character development in the second book takes a wonderful turn and leaves you wanting so much more! I am tapping me feet waiting to read the third book, which I get a sneak peek at this month!
